Standalone solution

PURIMA’s Rototronic can be operated as a stand-alone unit or can be integrated into a fully automated production line. A leading manufacturer of tubes for air conditioning systems in vehicles already has several PURIMA systems in operation at plants in Mexico and Germany. Now that the 3-dimensionally bent tubes are becoming increasingly complex and bent heat exchanger tubes also have to be cleaned, two additional plants have been commissioned in Germany and at the Changchun plant.

Microscopic residual contamination

All parts and assemblies are ultrasonically cleaned, rinsed and dried with circulating air in a multi-stage process after soldering. After cleaning and drying, particles > 200 µm must no longer be detectable and the parts must be absolutely dry for the subsequent leak test with helium. To achieve the requirements for drying the complex heat exchanger tubes, a continuous vacuum dryer is installed downstream of the circulating air drying system. The lines are run with cycle times of approx. 6 – 10 min per batch. By using all stations simultaneously, up to 10 wash baskets with dimensions of approx. 1200mm x 600mm x 400mm can be processed per hour.
